Tonight I attended a concert in London by a choir of Palestinian girls from the Edward Said national conservatory of music in Ramallah.
It was wonderful and incredibly emotional. Please support the art and culture of Palestine as it withstands a terrible onslought. You can donate here on this QR.

Loved being in the audience when you announced the launch of The Verve with @carolecadwalla.bsky.social Does look like Fuherage is being investigated as my mate Phil postulated in his question.

However I am hot and need refreshing so I have opened a chilled traveller from the Rhinegau that came with me. Delicious riesling, clementine and peach nose, very dry, high acidity, tight and refreshing bursting with lemon sherbert that would pair with smoked salmon. #germanwine #Burgundy

Frankly not sure why I post about #wine on #winesky as none of my posts ever show up here. Whereas on fascist enabling X they were widely visible. After a 5 hour drive from Lake Konstanz I am ensconced in the centre of Beaune and looking forward to some serious food and wine. You know the names

making techniques, the complex DNA of the vines make Germany a place where the most wonderful wines and talented, innovative wine makers are to be found. Tomorrow I cross the border to Burgundy, the home of some of the greatest wines in the world. I can't wait. 😊

So on another stormy day on Lake Konstanz my spatburgunder journey takes me to Austria with a 2022 Stift Kloster Neuburg. Sweet cherry and rose nose. Classic sweet cherry mouth, black fruits, well balanced with hints of tobacco and clove. Lovely #wine has the structure to improve over time. #winesky

A wonderful wine from my German summmer odyssey. This 2023 riesling from the Balthasar winery is from vines grown in Hattesheim in the Rhinegau. Apple/peach nose bags of rich ripe fruit with a lovely mineral spritzy zing for balance. Well structured with serious length. #wine #winesky

Another joyful discovery in Germany Rhinehessen from a winemaker pushing boundaries. "Red Stuff" 2021 is a Cab Sauv, Pinot Noir and Regent blend. Nose classically Cab Sauv, mouth-loads of dark fruit cassis, plums balanced with enough tight tannins to be well structured and delicious. #wine #winesky

My German #wine education continues as I sit by the Rhine. My very first tating of the Scheurebe grape. This Bischel 2024 has dense tropical fruit aromas. A big mouthful of stone fruit yet enough acidity to balance and add further refinement over years. What a joyful discovery!

I'm in Berlin relaxing but still attrmting to improve my lacklustre German #wine education. This modest German sparkling Reisling from Baden on this warm summers day hits the mark. Bursting with zingy citrus bubbles, good balance of fruit and acidity but bone dry. #Germanwines 🥂

It's my birthday today and a milestone so I'm treating myself to something very special. I grew up in Britain in a time when British food was dull and the choice of #wine for the general public was limited and tasted awful. So let's be grateful those days are over.🥂

Chris....once again making me jealous. My oldest bottles now are the 2007 but back in the day I remember a sublime 1978.

Monday evening #wine and loving #greekwine presently this 2016 Karydas Xinamavro from Naoussa is delightful. Well structured, soft tannins with deep crimson fruit maintaining a lovely balance. Greek wines are fab..if you have not discovered them, you're missing out.

Alexander VI was the Borgia Pope. Tump is the Bogus Pope. Both were amoral and steeped in corruption.

Last night's drinking. It was gorgeous.

Starting the May holiday weekend with this lovely Greek Red wine. The Dalamara Xinamavro 2018 from Naoussa reflects its unique terroir. Deep floral herb garden nose, balanced fruit and tannins, robust with sweet berry and spice finish.
Loving it. #wine

I often feel we deserve to live in a better world. The world a generation fought for in the 1940's, a world being stolen from us by the blind bigots of the alt right. We are going to have to fight for that better world. Get politically active. No Passaran ✊️
