True equality also means allowing developing countries to keep their own talent so they can grow. Otherwise, we risk perpetuating the cycle where the rich exploit global desperation to drive down wages everywhere. 2/2

I appreciate your stand against the UK’s shift to the right, and I agree with much of what you said. But while migration is important, it can’t be the only focus. 1/2

Spot on. The media outrage cycle is rigged. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. So called “independent” outlets are just aligned mouthpieces. This isn’t journalism, it’s agenda setting. Sound ideas get disregarded by people with no ethics, just narratives to push.

This is a mistake humanity has always made.

Rather than dismissing bad actions as “moments of insanity,” we should recognize that evil, malice, whatever you want to call it, is a force that must be actively fought in every generation. The good we want requires a constant, daily effort to protect.

Trump sees himself as the revolutionary, fighting his version of injustice, you can’t change that. But if we don’t want his will imposed on us. It is up to us, together, to fight for the future we want. Until we stop waiting for a few good people to change the world for us, it will never truly last.

The news is basically about how hard things are for the rich and powerful. Unless it’s immigration, then it’s “look what they’ve done to you.” But it rarely tells real stories of ordinary people. Just lumps them into groups and assumes their struggles.

Not worth the hassle of trying to get out to go to the bathroom. Especially when the people next to you are asleep.

And what’s rich here is you asking to be isolationist while YOU comment on another country. Practice what you preach instead of inciting hate that perpetuates to the point your “isolationist” country will have to intervene in more countries. How about that?

And your country has benefited from it since. Pretending to be judge jury and executioner throughout the WHOLE world. Taking what they want whenever it suited them by any means. Your problem is, for how rich your country is, they give their people nothing. And yes, please get out of peoples business
June 3, 2025 at 8:14 AM
Don’t people like u get tired of your bullshit? Your country is built on messing around in other people’s countries, making itself at home while wrecking everything, then has the nerve to talk about what other groups of people might do in that twisted head of yours. YOU are what’s wrong in the world

Prosperity creates stability, and that naturally leads to higher birth rates, it’s a proven pattern. Right now, people aren’t having kids because they don’t feel secure enough to raise them in the world as it is. It really is that simple. [3/3]

Be pragmatic. Start by tackling the skills shortage through immigration, but also invest in growing and developing local talent. Then, as that starts to pay off, we gradually reduce immigration in step with the rise of homegrown skills. [2/3]

It’s crazy that no one can communicate a balanced view on immigration. Yes, we need immigration, because we’re not having enough kids to sustain our workforce. But yes, we also need to reduce it, because excessive immigration can drain talent from countries that desperately need it to thrive. [1/2]

They do. His name is Marwan Barghouti, but he’s been in an Israeli prison for two decades.

Fair point, Any Answers has its share of ill-informed callers, but at least that’s obvious. It’s better than the biased takes from Nick Robinson and co, masked in polished language to sound smarter or more neutral than they are. A call-in could expose that echo chamber and bring in real voices.
