She went on to talk about working for ESPN and that she started writing her own pieces and submitting them to the network. After a while she was told that she was writing too much as a free-lance contributor and essentially got herself hired. #jmc602

One of the most interesting things she said, in my opinion, was that as a young reporter looking for work, she was told by multiple outlets that they liked her work but they already had a woman on staff. As if having one woman was enough contribution. #jmc602
