Hot take: Docker/Podman should not have to exist! (pretending that windows does and has never existed). That said, glad it does exist when a build/image actually works and it's the only way to deal with some things

My take git has done wonders as anyone who does not work on pure software and has been exposed to the joy that is Perforce or things like it. Its some to not overall but flat out replace git. Hell we have now had 20 years to learn git's pain points.

As you think about the CR, just a quick reminder that Trump/Elon = Putin, and therefore, anything other than a NO vote is enabling the destruction of our democracy.
Yale just confirmed to me that the State Department did indeed cancel this contract for one of its research labs, which was tracking Ukrainian kids kidnapped by Russia:
SCOOP --> Trump's State Department quietly terminated a contract that was in the process of transferring evidence of Russian abductions of Ukrainian kids to European law enforcement, two sources familiar with the situation tell me.

I just had a recruiter try to presser me into a role like a used car salesmen, and try to say I could not afford to keep turning down roles. If the position is someplace where I would not have a life; thank FUCK OFF and I hope a LLM replaces you

the hardest thing I have found in any development role (hardware, software, ect) is balancing getting immediate things working and wanting to get the abstract reusable infrastructure things made

Great @AmerChemSociety video on fluoride research shows most concerns have been totally blown out of proportion. While better unbiased studies are needed, what's semi-conclusive is excessive natural fluoride sources are more concerning than controlled municipal fluoridation.

Elon Musk is calling for the CFPB's remaining account balance of $711,586,678 to be returned to the American taxpayers.

That you give everyone $2-$3.

But returning Elon Musk’s money to taxpayers would give everyone about $1,300 each.
