I agree with the info in your slides. But citing sources is an important part of sharing this information, so that others can see it for themselves.

What does massive energy use actually mean, quantitatively? When you mention the"theft of all", why isn't the Common Crawl and LAION-5B mentioned? What about the articles linking the global south to these mentally destructive tasks of wading through explicit content?

I agree with everything here! But two important points. First, as others have already said, the caveat about programming can be removed.

Second, I don't see any sources cited for these slides. It's important that others can see these points aren't produced from thin air.
