I get your point but “only” is carrying a lot of weight there. It’s definitely a factor but I do not think it’s the only factor.

So doomed and also so earnest. Gotta respect that.

DAMMIT!

I guess I need to turn in my DMs Guide and resign myself to watching Actual Play from here on out inasmuch as my best PC is only a 5th level AD&D Assassin named "Squelch" who, candidly, couldn't stab an Ogre with his stiletto without rolling a Nat1 and critting on himself.

:-)

100%

That said the epidemic of soldier self-harm is truly frightening and I get why SecArmy is trying to "do something"....this is, likely, not the best way to accomplish that goal.

I look at it as a chance for me to get caught up on my Real Work (TM).... :-)

Sir! I know several 12 year olds and I can state, without any fear of correction, they have much more political acumen than that piece of trash.

This, Sir, is why I value your input. I will be watching this over the weekend and your review will help me inordinately. Thank you.

There's a not insignificant part of me that wants to fight you on this but....actually.....you're right.

I had never thought about it being three different panics until I watched the video but I think you're spot on. As an Elder GenXer I was old enough that the latter parts of the Satanic Panic didn't really impact me but to say it never happened is willful self-deception.

Don't necessarily disagree but if you factor in the dollars, adverse media, and other obstacles Establishment Types tried to put in the way and then combine the other amazing Dem gains (like here in GA) I think it's the beginning of a landslide.

May her memory forever be a blessing to you and to all who knew and loved her. Be well.

May I remind you, sir, of the people of Fine People to be found in Badger's Drift? I am quite sure the Badger's Drift area has the equivalent of Fish People.

There's an intersection here in Fort Worth (Texas Street & Cherry Street) where you can see gouges in the asphalt where people have smashed into the raised part of Texas Street. In a small SUV I bottomed out hard at 10mph. Totally wild experience.

99% agree. My only smallest-of-quibbles seems to be the assumption there will always be a lot of "entry-level" roles in Cyber and I'm not sure that's ever been or ever will be generally true. May be misreading your point, tho so I'm open to being incorrect.
October 26, 2025 at 1:09 PM
Exactly. People who worked in the field for a long time didn't, by and large, accept the skills gap point. But their non-cyber leaders did and sold it to schools, bootcamps, and people desperate to make $$$.

Flooded the entry level market and everything seems broken.

I so wish I lived closer so I could go...

When people tell you who they are you probably should believe them, eh?

Give yourself 10 additional Hero points for today!!! :-)
October 21, 2025 at 5:43 PM
This is a basic truth on any topic posted about on the internet, I think. :-)
October 21, 2025 at 1:54 PM
IDK but I kinda assume your GM style is a lot like how you GM The Gang during the skits... Combine that with your library of content and I think you've earned an amazing amount of respect already.

We need this, Jason. Please and thank you.

He's been "studying" for 7 years but didn't tell you what grades he was getting....

That presumes that what is listed is, in fact, truthful. Right now I don't give the DoJ the benefit of the doubt on anything.
