I paid $250 for a rental car. Hertz charged me an extra $6 when I returned the car.

I asked why. They said that's just the way it is.
I asked why their website lied about the total. I sent them a receipt for $250.

Reader, I got my $6 back. And 200 points.

Had tickets to see the PSO play Lord of the Rings, but came down with a cold.
Watching it at home with my emotional support sword instead.

People on nextdoor are upset that residential parking permits will cost $40/year.

I hope each of them are also upset that PRT is proposing $0.25/ride rate increases.

Bicyclist was just doored on Butler St. He dipped in and out of consciousness before being taken by the ambulance.

The police decided not to show up because “the biker left the scene.”

In an ambulance.

This is why our city crash data sucks — nothing is reported. 2023 had more than five crashes.

Got a letter from the IRS saying I didn’t pay my taxes and they’re charging me interest. I have another letter confirming I did pay.
I can’t contact them online and their phone lines keep refusing my call for this issue.
Thanks, DOGE.

Went from having seen zero Mission Impossibles to having seen five. They just keep getting better.

The first two were comically bad, and now MI6 has 98% on IMDB. Can’t wait to see what crazy thing they come up with to end the world!

These are not competent engineers. A staffer accidentally created a public repo on his personal GitHub for creating a "NxGen Backdoor Extraction" tool. It was made private before people could analyze it.

The best and brightest, everyone.

“Huge duties were imposed under the pretext of protecting domestic manufacturers. Then they were canceled, before being reintroduced.”
