I’m going to draw an analogy, a bit of a stretch. Lorentz, Poincaré, Maxwell, and Michaelson were steps away & Planck off to the side contributed to the nature of light and matter. Einstein to pulled it all together into his theories of relativity and the most famous equation of the 20th century.
