It was an honour to contribute with our #ATTA measurements to the dating of an Alpine ice core that uniquely covers the entire #Holocene. It is the first example of the promising combination of 39Ar and 14C for #glacier dating. More to come soon, stay tuned!

Alpine ice core record of large changes in dust, sea-salt, and biogenic aerosol over Europe during deglaciation
Abstract. Aerosol radiative forcing is an important but often poorly understood component of regional climate. While glacier ice contains the most detailed

A good day on the field! Judith, Markus and Armelle went to the Swabian Alb to install a water and a rainwater collector. 💧🌧️
We’re investigating oxygen isotope ratios in karstic runoff at the Goldloch near Schlattstall and in precipitation on the plateau above the cave. Let's hope for enough rain!🤞🌦️

Middle Miocene climate evolution in the northern Mediterranean region (Digne–Valensole basin, SE France)
Abstract. During the Middle Miocene, the Earth shifted from a warm state, the Miocene Climatic Optimum (MCO; 16.9–14.7 Ma), to a colder state associated with the formation of extensive and permanent i...

One year ago today, I was flying to San Francisco for #AGU. Sharing my PhD research with scientists from around the 🌍 at such a massive event was unforgettable. Bonus: I was awarded an OSPA for my paleoaltimetry work! Incredible memories. Now: focused on submitting my PhD thesis for early 2025! 💪🚀
