New Transformers this week! With Windcharger here I'm closing in on the complete Season 1 + movie Autobot cast. I just need to find a Huffer figure to finish out the original minibots. I also sprang for the Dramatic Capture set to get Reflector, even if Thundercracker is already an obsolete mold.

Not a new revelation but it is hitting me that as important as scanlines are, a little bit of blur is also essential to make Genesis games look right.

This time I also added some toslink connections (and managed to badly crack only one piece of the shell!) — for now I expect that means somewhat better PS2 audio, but eventually I want to get some surround sound set up for these older systems.

EXPAND! Loving the modularity, although getting this apart and back together is a bit of a chore, hopefully I won't have to do that again.

Done! Doesn't quite match the order of things in my setup but does look a bit cleaner. Rearranging things is only a minor inconvenience, which is good because I think I'll be adding one or two more component input and composite/s-video input modules when they're back in stock

I sprang for the Scalable Video Switch and after tinkering with it for a day I'm very happy to have it in my retro setup! I only wish that I had read the F.A.Q. page sooner that says to put the higher resolution inputs closest to the control module...

@animeigo.com's Bubblegum Crash Blu ray is a great example of how an SD source can be uprezzed to HD with impressive results when handled by people that know what they're doing! The episodes that didn't have film available for a new transfer hold up surprisingly well.
