This is a rare USN submariners ballcap that does not have the Navy 'Dolphins', instead it has the ship's seal and her (then) navy awards embroidered on it, in this case USS Cheyenne (SSN-773), last of the LA class submarines, from her first visit to Western Australia in 2001.

Ok, IF this can happen, WITHOUT the stuffing around seen over the past twenty plus years, then I'm for it! If not, the Australian Defence Force and Taxpayer are going to get majorly screwed!

Ok, I have to get it out of the way. The Armchair Admiral is a fan of the F-14 Tomcat. I've seen many over the years and partied with the Officers and Crews from squadrons that made it to Perth Australia. The Tomcat featured is the CO VF-31'Tomcatters' F-14D Tomcat from 2004.

My History. From 1984 to 1987 I was a Naval Reserve Cadet in the Royal Australian Navy. From 28th June to 8 July 1986, I had the oppotunity to sail aboard the RAN Flagship HMAS Stalwart (AD-215) from Adelaide, SA, to Fremantle, WA. I will never forget it, it still inspires me.
