The LIS Database now allows one to measure poverty (with their superior poverty/income measures) over a 61 year period of US history (1963-2023).

Sad to hear the brilliant and great Walter Korpi passed. Korpi was on a very short list of my all time favorite political economic theorists. Almost all my work is fundamentally based on power resources theory. His work on the welfare state is pivotal and central to so many fields.
