John Williams' Stoner just blew my mind. Such a simple tale of a simple, essentially mediocre life. And it is told with such humaneness and compassion that I feel like I just lost a friend as I finish it. How this wasn't recognized as a masterpiece upon immediate release is beyond me.

On cloud 9 after this week working with old friends and new. Victory Players and Yale Choral Artists gave two performances of Cancionero de Luto that were OUTSTANDING. And at Sprague Hall at Yale. Last time I played that room, I was a student!
