I'm thrilled that my drawing Boys to Men was juried into the American Women Artist’s 2025 Annual Online Juried Exhibition which runs from April 1, 2025 - March 31, 2026.

My drawing was juried into the International Guild of Realism Salon to be held at the Sugarman-Peterson Gallery in Santa Fe, NM. There were over 450 artworks submitted and 99 were accepted. Exhibition dates are June 6-30 2025.

With one week to spare, I've finished my entry for the Colored Pencil Society of America's International Exhibition judging. From what I've seen so far, there is very stiff competition to get into the show this year.

Good composition often develops through subtle adjustments..

Consider using secondary elements like shadows to balance your composition and create natural pathways for the viewer's eye.

Remember, these aren't rules - they're tools for your creative intuition.

See how camera distortions play tricks with size and perspective that we don’t want in our final artwork.

I always adjust these quirks in Photoshop before starting to draw (look at the difference between the crayons on the table) - correcting the proportions to match what our eyes naturally see.
