It doesn't look like much. An unprepped garden with last year's remains and scattered materials. But tucked into a corner lies a secret. To them, it's a paradise of clover fields, growing carrots, and cammoflage.
Low garden with 2 foot open fencing, sporadic hay mulch, and last year's dead plants and twigs. Some regrowth of carrots and herbs can be seen in the garden bed. Outside the bed, a large patch of clover frames its edges edges, providing a break from the lawn. A momma rabbit hides the corner nest, known to house at least 5 kits, using the mulch and dead plant material. The ground moves upward as the kits resettle, the only evidence of their presence beneath.

Spring growth this week!

The dog is never entirely comfortable. But she wants to visit. This bed belongs to the boy who belongs to the cat, and therefore is the cat's territory. The dog is allowed on the bed, but the cat then joins her to assert dominance. The boy eventually steps in to "save" the dog from cat cuddles.
A short haired brown cat rests comfortable on a quilted bed against a chocolate lab. The chocolate lab rests with her body equally comfortable, though her eyes show she is unsure with the arrangement.

Not taking the simple things for granted. Spaghetti and a good canned sauce, with fresh grated parmigian reggiano, with toasted sourdough and garlic butter. My teen came in to drain the pasta and plate it up with the sauce and cheese.

Aaahhh.... They're so cute! These are fully grown bushymouth catfish at only about 3.5 inches long. Having purchased a male and female a year or so ago, we soon got a batch of babies, and now have a few in our 70 gal, shared with our much larger 18" plecostamus and family of tropical fish.

My pretty girl loves the snow.

Just a pothos out there living her best life, happily parked at a dirty window facing the snow soaking up the winter sun. No politics, no media, no drama. Photosynthesis with the ambient light.
