Each of these books are either one offs, or the start of a series, so they do not require any other reading before going into them and each is unique in how it showcases the Arkham Files universe.

The @arkhamhorror.bsky.social games are great, but the wider universe is what makes them classic.

@timpratt.org's The Ravening Deep is not only the introduction of Asterias, but also the start of a trilogy built around everyone's favorite cult leader, Carl Sanford.

Come for the bizarre Comets & the nature of Asterias' cult, stay for a character defining take on Sanford & the STL.

@mouseferatu.bsky.social's Litany of Dreams does a banger job of introducing Tsocathra, a zombie like thought plague. It also does a great job of dealing with oppressed cultures struggling with society in interesting ways. This is a unique read that I hope gets a follow up.

@sasidor.bsky.social's Cult of the Spider Queen is a personal favorite of mine and will show you some Spider god chaos as well as an appearance by some Corsairs of Leng.

Granted, I've only played the full campaign once but I really enjoyed the exploration of R'lyeh. The emergent story of the history of the place kept me engaged.

The final two scenarios felt cinematic but were not as challenging as I had anticipated.

You "had" me track what day a new moon occurred in order to get a date for reference, but I don't begrudge you that.
