But her newer work has softened somewhat, still unsettling for the most part, but warmer and less clinical. But it's the little things that blew me away. The translucency of teeth, or the depth of the eyes. How the sclera merges into the iris. Superb
Another of Savilles portraits, of a young woman. Loose line work is covered by softer pastels then almost fluorescent pastels are deposited on top. But the eyes are like pools. It is hard to tell where sclera gives way to iris, and then to pupil.

I've been feeling down for some months. Just not happy with where my art is going. So I went to see the Jenny Saville show at the NPG. Damn that woman can paint. No one can make a picture both alluring and horrifying at the same time like her.

Today is bank note, and miscellania, day. I was going to sell the Gloranthan cash loose, but considering mounting 3 to display them.
Three folders of Lunars (& Guilders). 10Lunars, 5 Guilders, & 5 Lunars, all with consecutive serial numbers. A Bank of the Thames £5 note (not for sale, only as gifts) and 20 SAN note from the Bank of Innsmouth (a run of 6). All need mounting.

Back in the 90s, I was pretty poor and couldn't afford art supplies often. So I used my Bristol board sparingly. Why the fuck should you care? No reason, it's just so you understand that while mounting a piece, I realised a much more important piece was on the back. So its 2 fer 1 on this one.
Axe wielding maniac with filed teeth. This was meant as a filler piece for Trash War. A Tarshite diplomatic, based on Derek Jarman. This was a player character portrait for Trash War.

Day 3 of ascending Mount Oblivion. I've slowed down, mostly due to Gwen having work to do, but also due to issues with my hands & knees. But the end is in sight, and print jobs are inbound.
3 more pictures ready to go to the Con. In the back The Mother of Monsters looms over the rain forests of Pamaltela. To the left a Ratuki (shark hsunchen) from the East Isles wields his sharktooth club. Finally, to the right a Sable rider brave spots Bison rider raiders.

A note from the Bank of Innsmouth for 200 SAN points. Printed in their secret lair in Arkham (it's less damp) it shows their fonder, Obadiah Marsh, as he liked to be remembered; flaunting his Deep One genes. Brown Jenkin, the rat-thing, makes a guest appearance.

Hit a wall on my current job, so took some time to finish this.

A five pound note from the Bank of the Thames (based on a 1957 Bank of England design). Molly, a fae who works as the housekeeper in the Folly, glowers out. Meanwhile Toby, the resident ghost-hunting terrier, plays with a puppet of Mr. Punch.
