Hey #Java #Emacs users, I am trying to smoothen my workflow. One thing that annoys me is to go to mvnrepository.com to look up a package. I am creating a little helper for it, anyone interested?

Just finished up my workshop at #jfall #jfall2025! Great crowd and lots of interaction, even in the silent disco setup!

I made an update to my #emacs upiv package from yesterday, it now supports marginalia mode for even nicer support with configuring use-package.

I so love my #emacs, was configuring some packages and wanted something easier, so I wrote a small function that will look up all the custom variables for a package and provide them as completion, allowing you to easily insert them. Trying to be more like @xenodium.bsky.social by sharing.

Had an amazing time presenting at #Devoxx! The room was packed, with some people sitting on the stairs, if the favorites are anything to go by there were over 300 people in the room. The talk was rated 4.7 out of 5, which for me is amazing, thank you all so much!

My talk at #Devoxx is up to 69 ❤️! Nice! Hope to see you all on Wednesday!

In april Microsoft said 30% of their code was written by AI, coinbase is pushing even further with 40% and aiming for 50% by October. Massive numbers, but still in a controlled way (reviewed)

Today I was at the futuretech conference in Utrecht. Really liked @fonssonnemans.bsky.social talk about performance analysis.

Solving part 2 of day 5 from the #adventofcode turned out to be surprisingly easy using #java Comparator classes. Just a custom sort function to save the day! My notes on the day are here: arjenwiersma.nl/posts/aoc-20...

In day 2 of #adventofcode you might want to splice an array and then combine it again, in #Java you can use an IntStream to seamlessly remove a single element from an array. #tipoftheday

One "trick" I love from the #streaming interface in #java is that creating frequency tables becomes a breeze...
