I was gone for 3 hours, and when I got back I was visited by a spiky princess… either because it’s cold or she wanted my kale/sw potato buttermilk soup.

Because the week was not restful, we took advantage of the weather and went on a butterfly „hunt“ armed only with cameras. We saw monarchs, tiger swallowtails, red spotted purples, and so many dragonflies.

I love the color switch where I ran out of purple. And This Thing of Paper is filled with awesome knitting designs like this. Still sad yarn sellers at Solitude Wool retired.

My himmie rescue used to pine for Luciano Pavoratti. Sadly she passed on, but we smile about opera, remembering.
A Himalayan Persian cat of sainted memory looks off to the left. Her eye is brilliant blue, she is smoky tan with dark brown face, ears, and legs. Was she thinking about her man, Luciano, or was wind whistling thru her ears? I like to think it was LP.

Just finished my Psalter Shawl (designer is Karie Westermann). Now blocking on wires. Love this so much even though I ran out of purple for the edging.
A figure sits under a shawl knit in a pattern of goldenrod and purple yarn. There is a lace edging that isn‘t blocked yet.

Worked on a tiny part of the felt advent calendar (now a countdown to groundhog’s day).
Today it was the cellar.
