The best solution to the police problem I've seen is public safety departments that cross-train their members and rotate them through police, firefighting, and EMS roles. Harder to think about "civilians" as the enemy when you spend two thirds of your time actually saving lives.

What is wrong with this guy’s priorities?? Make air travel safe, provide compensation to passengers when flights are cancelled due to airline screw-ups, limit time they can make passengers sit on the tarmac, and give us more legroom. Then we can talk about dressing up and working out.
