Penny, my daughter's Chihuahua, stays over for the Thanksgiving holidays. She is only 6 or 7 pounds, but she holds her own with Porthos and Jax. 🤩

One must always tread slowly and respectfully around wildlife. I came upon this female Elk while hiking in the outskirts of the Red Lake area close to sunset. So beautiful!

Jax's First Winter: Jax was adopted on 01/10/24. The night before 01/13/24, it lightly snowed. Porthos and Jax love playing in the snow! ❄️

Meet Jax: Rescued last January 10th, Jax turned 2 years old on July 13th. He is a pure blood Rat Terrier, and he maintains a weight of 25 lbs. I am amazed at Jax's abundant energy and strength. This coming summer, I can begin his leash and hiking skills. His world is going to get a whole lot bigger!

Meet Porthos: Rescued at the approximate age of 7 months old, Porthos turned 10 years old this last Halloween. He is a Terrier mix, and he maintains a weight of 25 lbs. Porthos is great at hiking even the most difficult of trails. To him, a short hike is less than 6 miles.
