That said, let me try my luck with Beamdog :)

I have to disagree with you on that one. I listen to metal and it sounds much, much better with DR10 than with DR4. Of course it also depends on the mix and the EQ; DR isn’t everything. But I’m yet to listen to a square sine wave and be pleased with how it sounds.

I figured, though IME music tends to sound best when above DR10 (which would also match the original games’s scores.) If I got written permission from Beamdog, would that change the situation? Or not really? I mean, I can try :)

Bit of a necro but it occurred to me—if you still have the source files, could you do a DR10+ mastering of all tracks you’ve written for Beamdog and send them to me? I can pay for them, I’m sure we can reach a suitable agreement

Is that a portmanteau of “mantra” and “tantrum”?

I *think* I got the OST with my purchase of the Siege of Dragonspear CE, but I’ll need to double-check.

I also enjoy your work on BG:EE. Rebirth of the Legend is really good 🤗

If I may extend a bit of criticism to an otherwise really well-done soundtrack, I found it to be mastered a bit too loud. The OST in the originals had a tad more punch owing to a lesser use of dynamic compression. But, as mentioned, the writing itself is really good and I’m enjoying it 😊

Shadow of the Shining Lady (the main theme) and Danger in the Wild (a combat track). Though Crusaders at Coastway Crossing is also really good! I’ve been playing those two tracks in my head all day ahah

I now know “tank treads” are called “tank treads.” The more I know!
