The Thassera quest was an absolute delight. Creepy, funny, and just plain *interesting* at every turn. While I agree that thus far, Lex Imperialis hasn't been quite as stellar as Void Shadows, this specific locale and its quest are right there at the top of what Rogue Trader has to offer.

my backer copy of Caverns of Thracia has finally reached my corner of the rest-of-world

at first glance, it looks and feels great.

as with most of my print pre-orders, I didn't dive into the PDF much, so I'm looking forward to delving into this later!

What four classic video games to you find yourself replaying no matter how old they are?

This is a nice touch. Some barks a GM can read aloud when a monster uses its abilities.

Your last meme saved is your moral philosophy.

At the start of the year, I mused aloud in the RPGSEA discord that I "kind of [wanted] to arrange a game day... with other GMs".

Well, turns out those "some other GMs" were interested, and last Saturday marked the fourth such game day hosted!

Tomorrow, we'll be hosting our fourth Bagong Laro RPG day (and the last one for the year).

We'll have three tables: Gubat Banwa, Reach of the Roach God (using OSE) and A Goon's Guide to the Galaxy.

(And if any Manileños see this, we've still got room forms.gle/16Sgkv6SVSEG... )

random thoughts on KDH convictions (in the vein of Rogue Trader) with respect to demon-hunting duties, Zoey is iconoclast, Mira is dogmatic, Rumi is heretical.

(they all lean iconoclast by the end ofc)

I have just learned of #SapphicSeptember and decided to put Corps à Corps on sale for the month. You know, for unrelated reasons.

Anyway, if GM-optional, stat-raising sports TRPGs are your jam--enjoy!

I'll be busy reading sapphic fiction.

15) BLB: A Spy in the House of Eth

One reason I love Best Left Buried is all the great adventures for it. From classic dungeoncrawls to wild romps like this: a factory tapping into the powers of hell to run its automaton labor force? Sign me up.

14) When the Moon Hangs Low

One of my favor middle-crunch games. Combines modular character builds with a compelling internal conflict mechanic (a monster to hunt a monster, basically).

This is another go-to game for me that's proved popular with different groups/players.

13) D&D 3.5e: Heroes of Horror

Probably my favourite of the 3.5e splats I own. This one had it all: sample adventures, alternative rules, flavorful classes, power cree-- *ahem*

nice book, love the art too

12) The Stygian Library

What a gorgeous book. The idea behind this depth crawl is amazing, too. I've mined a lot of ideas from it, but would love to run it as a whole package someday.

11) D&D 3.5e: Serpent Kingdoms

One of the first two RPG books I ever owned. 3.5e was the era of splatbooks and this was a pretty good one, all told. Never did get to play a yuan-ti, though...

(But I have been reading the Yuan-Ti FR novels and they're pretty fun)

10) Dungeons & Dragons 5e

The first core book I owned, which got me back into RPGs after a mostly fallow period in college.

9) Best Left Buried

My current game of choice, BLB scratches my itch for putting players through dungeons and pitting them against monsters, while providing a very intuitive, expressive ruleset.

I've run part of a campaign as well as several one-shots, including public/event games. Always a blast.

8) Dungeon Bitches

This book speaks to me

I've run a few sessions of it, and enjoying it a lot even though PbtA is always a bit of a challenge for me to DM (that's Dungeon Mistress for this game)
