make me confident that no matter how good or popular this server gets, sendouq will still have a large and active audience because it has features we could never have in a discord server

that’s totally fine! like i said it isn’t for everyone, that’s not a fault of our system but it simply is true that some will find sendouq to be better for any kind of reason from its separation of ranks, its map picking system, the fact its on a nice clean af website, etc. those are all things that

a server with active text channels and community is a different vibe from sendouq which doesn’t even have a # general channel to my recollection. again, that doesn’t necessarily make either better or worse, it’s just the appeal applies to different people

but in its size it loses the familiarity for newer comp players, or is off putting for people who are worried about their own skill level or are socially anxious. this is not necessarily a fault of sendouq, but it is an unintended side effect of how popular it has become.

stay only as a discord server, it will not export to an external website or a “profile” system. therefore it should not be used for results as it cannot be easily verified by others as a “real” result. another aspect is the community of the server. sendou server is HUGE (as it needs to be)—

the way the in-house scrim bot works is you can’t dodge people based on skill level, unless you meticulously look at every person who signed up’s profile. this allows for a wider variety of team rosters and for people to practice with other levels of players. this is also intended to—

i highly doubt this will ever become popular enough to “split the playerbase” because why would there be an incentive to grind this over sendouq points if your main goal is results. this is simply for practice and for fun, it’s quite literally not the same at all

yes, it has both better qualities and downsides. like i said this isn’t supposed to be better than sendouq or for the same people who enjoy playing it. this is targeted at a niche of people who enjoy scrimming but either 1. don’t like sendouq 2. want to play more than just sendouq 1/2

this is not meant to be a sendouq replacement or competitor it’s for people who have issues with the sq format for one reason or another
