Today I watched the sunrise as I tuned in to a 16-piece orchestra halfway around the planet recording music made uniquely for my second nature documentary, Prairies Unearthed. A wonderful way to focus on the beautiful things happening on Earth.

I hear too often lately "assuming funding gets restored" or "hopefully when funding returns". I think a lot of people are hoping it's an ebb and flow to hunker down for and like you, I am bracing for a tsunami that will fundamentally change the landscape.

I’m sad about what is happening to the National Science Foundation today and in the last several weeks. Already approved science funding being killed, workers illegally being fired, loyalty to the administration’s “priorities” being mandated, ‘women’ becoming a banned word/focus area... (1/4)
