I was just listening to an older interview with Margaret Atwood (from 2022) and she knew Roe would be overturned. She speculated that once women started dying, the states would definitely intervene, because those deaths are unacceptable. Apparently we live in a much crueler country than she expected

The thing that has helped me most is spending time with people. Having a friend over for dinner, taking opportunities to hang out that maybe i wouldn’t have before. It helps to remember we are all still here and we are in it together.
