My heart is broken for all of my colleagues who have lost their income, their careers, and the work that they are so passionate about. Many of my colleagues had spouses in the industry who have also lost their jobs or are at risk.

These are not partisan issues - many of these contracts started under the last Trump admin. They are real issues that impact real people.

As a result, millions of dollars are being wasted and important knowledge is being thrown away. Just my own personal cut work covered how to improve employment for people reentering the community from incarceration, how career counseling can support adult learners, and how we use CTE in high schools
