No, he didn’t. I don’t think it’s even gotten to the Senate yet. It has to ceremoniously get through the Senate and then go onto his desk.

I didn’t say he didn’t have thune’s approval. I said without it, thune might’ve changed his mind and it would’ve never come to the floor

No, but I am in constant meetings with them

A pocket veto means that he just basically let it expire

And something about an election win in New Orleans involving the failings of the criminal court system

If you have any artwork that you think could fit one of these, send it to me with the title and any links and I might use it!

Did you read the whole thread because I discussed that here?

He didn’t. He circumvents them. He tries to change them, but he doesn’t actively defy them and there is a difference in that difference matters a lot right now.

Bottom line, trust the lawyers. If we’ve learned anything in the last 10 months, it’s how incredible and ready for any situation these lawyers are.

And this fight to save Democracy would not be possible without them.

These lawyers are some of the best we have. We have to trust that they have thought of everything.

So I hope that helps. I hope you’re breathing a little easier than you were five minutes ago.

the easier it will be to argue that everything involving Trump must be released in full. He’s painted himself into a corner and that corner is getting narrower every day.

Finally, yes, most of these documents have second copies somewhere in the world.

As far as investigations go, Trump can put as many people under investigation for this as he wants, but he’s not going to put himself under investigation. The more people in Epstein’s circle the DOJ puts under investigation,

There is also criminal contempt charges on the table for anyone who impedes the release of the files. We have a good judge, the lawyers on our side trust that they will do the right thing.

Do not think for a moment we aren’t the ones with the power here. If he fucks this up for the survivors in any way things will get astronomically worse for him, and it will be their mission to get his approval rating into the 30s.

Maybe, but he’s not ignorant, he knows that if this was bad for him politically, a pocket veto would be a thousand times worse. The court of public opinion is a phrase for a reason.

Maybe he will cross that line in the future (though his control is rapidly weakening), but it hasn’t happened yet. That’s really important to remember.

I have seen so many comments saying he will do a pocket veto.

And, burning documents is not part of Trump’s immunity, and there is a five year statute of limitations. He would be prosecuted.

It’s also worth noting that as much shit as he’s done, he hasn’t defied court orders.

They all have multiple people who had insider info that made the case possible.

There is no way they could mess with the documents without someone who is talking to the lawyers working on this case knowing.

We will know if things have been redacted that shouldn’t be. There are whistleblowers throughout the government, and you don’t even have to trust me on that, just look at every single case against this administration that has been litigated so far.

I cannot say this clearly enough, the lawyers and Dems in congress have thought of every single possible scenario in regards to the files being released or not released. If you have thought of it for even a second, they have been working on a contingency plan for months.

Well, for starters, he would not just have angry Democrats. He would have angry Republicans one thing that Republicans might call him on because they all voted for this other than Clay Higgins.
