Jellies were one of those shoes that all the it-girls had. I never did because my mom thought they looked like cheap plastic shoes! And now they’re back in style, with some being sold at over £800!

One of the things I enjoyed at the Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto was seeing the branding and design of their “Dressed to impress” exhibition was. Hellooooo 80s!

A display of the smallest shoes in the Bata Museum: shoes for Barbie and Polly Pocket dolls. Eight pairs of plastic shoes are on a wooden plinth. Matthew Darbyshire’s sculpture “Dyson” a model of a Dyson hoover, designed and built in vibrant perspex strips 1930s poster showing a woman throwing a jabalina. The poster reads “Campamento de Union de Muchachas. Patrocinado por el C.N. de Educacion Fisica.” A picture of me hugging the the Emosphere, an installation designed by MIMMA that amplifies the reception of Ludwig van Beethoven's music on its 250th anniversary thanks to the combination of sound, vibrations and multi-coloured lights.
