/ already contained, imo. It felt slow to start, and then sped-run the actual plot of the book, what should have been the focus, which was the back and forth struggle between the two. The lack of that core element made the ending feel, to me, hollow and unearned.

Still a unique experience though!

So I don't understand the choice to make the first half of the book longer with extra additions, like the childhood, and the benefactor. It didn't add more than the story /

I do that too, my problem is that i'm indecisive, so if I want to change the color or design of the under-sketch layer, I also have to grapple with the top rendering layer above the lineart. I end up flattening everything in frustration and then build upon it

That sounds similar to what I do, what does eroding the selection by 1 mean, you make the selection a little small than the lineart?
