Our new paper, with my amazing PhD student, Aliah Zewail, is published in the European Review of Social Psychology.

A lot of non-academics don't understand the time scale of scholarly work. It takes at least months, often years, to complete an article or book. And a scholar's body of work often builds on itself over a decade or more. Being told to stop work mid-project can be catastrophic to a career.

The answer: not really! Detection perf is low and overestimated by traditional eval methods
