If the last two years have showed us anything, it is that this government and media will push narratives about how it is needed and actually good for the country, and the middle seem to lap it up considering the government support still hasn't dropped significantly. After everything they've done.

Also the books are shit. They are bleeding money, and they need EVEN MORE to fill the hole. Their solution will be cutbacks to govt departments, and other horrific shit. That will create more unemployment, less spending, and more bitterness. They will need extra money for election lollies too.

I never thought I'd be someone who would say this, but Hipkins comments and behavior has turned me off entirely for voting for Labour next year. Greens and TPM, depending on where they are come election, are the only choices for me.
