The Tucker to the Giants stuff is weird, it’s hard to find a worse team-player fit. That ballpark would swallow him up and he is way way way too mellow for Tony V (he was even too mellow for the Cubs, and the Cubs are extremely mellow!)

Hell my full on winter coat was half that price at a department store

For me Fubo is more expensive than it would be to keep YTTV + get ESPN Unlimited on top of that, so if this isn’t resolved by the time my YTTV runs out I might have to go for Hulu Live, even though I don’t want to because it’s a worse product

The Cubs more than any team in baseball are obsessed with flexibility. They do not want any dead money on their payroll ever, and they’re willing to pay more now to ensure they’re not paying a useless player in the future. Is that smart? Not really, but it’s how they operate

Throughout the fall, Vanderbilt has been tracking its hitters’ progress with a focus on three pillars. This is a similar approach to what is used by many pro teams.

It will be interesting to see how this impacts the current roster with several players who excel in one pillar but struggle in another

Like yes, the team is bad but peak Trout on the bad Angels still got attention. But Trout’s last great season was in 2022 and his last generational-level season was in 2018. There have been many other stars emerge in that time who have become the face of baseball. That’s just how sports are

And when Ohtani was on the Angels, Trout was also not even the best or most generational player on his own team, and Ohtani always seemed more comfortable in the spotlight anyway

I mean he’s also only had one Troutian season in the last six. I definitely think he was more talked about in the 2010s, even with the Angels being what they were. But he’s not even one of the 20 best players in the sport anymore, hasn’t been for a while

Cream foundation sticks on the other hand? That’s where it’s at. They make travel SO much easier. I will never again live without one

I think there are good baseball/“just wasn’t a fit” reasons to part ways with Tucker. This is just being cheap for the sake of it (or being a lockout accelerationist, which is worse)
