Ohio GOP’s new “Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act” wants kids taught that Ben Franklin told Paine to burn Age of Reason — a book published 3 years after Franklin died.

Ghost reviews > actual facts, apparently.

One of many errors in the bill. #OhioEducation #GOPHistory

Great to meet Kim McCarthy, the new chair of the Ohio Democratic Party Progressive Caucus, at the Darke County Democratic and Independent Women's Group event tonight! Excited for the work ahead and to continue building a stronger, more inclusive Ohio.

Great time at the Darke County Democratic and Independent Women's Group tonight! Always inspiring to gather with passionate women and men at the annual "Chill Out with Chili" event. Excited to keep working together for a stronger community. #StrongerTogether #OhioProgress

On 11/5/24, I promised I wouldn’t stop fighting for all of us. Today, I picked up my candidacy paperwork to keep that promise. I’m committed to true representation for everyone in the 84th district.

Join me as we fight for a future where every voice counts.

Proud to stand with Greenville neighbors outside City Hall vs. OH Drag Ban (HB 249). Mayor called us “degenerates”—but real degeneracy is attacking 1A rights over culture wars, while ignoring school funding, housing, & feeding families. #NoDragBan #OH84

Tonight didn’t go as planned, but I’m unbroken—and far from done. Full statement in the graphic. Key takeaways:
✅ I brought my own folding chair.
📷and not the last.
📷 Serving St. Marys till the end.
2026: Running for Ohio House District 84. Democrats don’t quit. We fight.

Win or lose tomorrow, I’m committed to fighting for common-sense, people-focused government at every level. Grateful for the honor of serving St. Marys 4th Ward this past year: listening to residents of every background & party, and being their voice on council. Thank you! #StMarys #CommonSenseGov

Honored to receive Equality Ohio’s Emerging Leader award. Grateful to stand with the giants who paved the way for equality—and to my fierce rural trans warrior & hero Bobbie Arnold, my husband, and Heather Schmidt. The fight continues. We carry the torch forward. 🌈✊🏽

We mourn the loss of Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, a trailblazer for trans rights and one of the last surviving trans veterans of Stonewall. Her legacy of courage and activism will continue to drive the fight for trans liberation. Rest in power, Miss Major. #TransRights #MissMajor #RestInPower

Great night at the Blue Bash Dinner with friends from Shelby, Darke & Allen Counties! Inspiring to hear from Gov. Strickland & Rep. Allison Russo. Ohio Dems have work ahead to reach voters & prove we offer a better path—but we’re ready for the fight!

People living in poverty don’t get the luxuries most enjoy. Taking away something simple like a cold Coke for SNAP recipients is cruel. Being poor shouldn’t mean losing small comforts. Fix the system, don’t punish people. #SNAP #StopPunishingPoverty

Trump’s threat to send the military to Portland is illegal, dangerous, and authoritarian. Posse Comitatus prohibits military law enforcement on U.S. soil. This is a blatant power grab. If he doesn’t want to be called fascist, he should stop acting like one.

Just thought I'd drop this list of some major World War II figures who fought against Nazi Germany. No particular reason... 🤔

Ah yes, nothing says 'unity' quite like this. Trump’s heartfelt tribute to Charlie Kirk: 'I hate my opponents and I don’t want the best for them.' Truly, a beacon of hope for a divided nation. #Sarcasm #WhatUnityLooksLike

While I disagree with Elliot Forhan's choice of words, I appreciate his willingness to engage. I agree that violence—verbal threats or physical—is never the answer. We must confront harmful rhetoric with dialogue, not escalation.

Holding onto hope is hard in times like these. The attacks on marginalized communities—especially the trans community—hurt us all. But we must leave behind harmful bigotry and move forward with respect for our shared humanity. Change is possible, even if it’s a hard-fought journey. #Hope #Respect

This is not "lowering the temperature." This is dangerous, harmful rhetoric against a marginalize community.
September 18, 2025 at 1:13 AM
The right-wing demands Dems "tone down the rhetoric" while attacking marginalized communities, spreading lies, & trying to strip away constitutional rights. This hypocrisy is dangerous & threatens our democracy. #PoliticalHypocrisy #DemocracyAtRisk

Donald Trump and "reporter" Brian Glenn want to ban trans flags from private buildings, using a made-up "transtifa" excuse. This is unconstitutional. Let me be clear: Trans people aren't going anywhere, and neither is our flag. #LGBTQRights #TransRights

I believe we can have meaningful discussion of the harm caused by Charlie Kirk's views without trivializing murder.

Had a great time speaking at the Auglaize County Democratic Party Fall Dinner with Dr. Bryan Hambley and Elliot Forhan.

As Obama said, “Hope is the belief that something better is always possible and that you have the power to make it happen.” Let's make it happen! #Hope #Democrats

2 years ago, I never planned to run for office. I just organized a protest against Rep. King’s drag ban.

But when she chose to demonize her own constituents instead of defending our rights, I knew I had to fight.

Because leadership isn’t about scapegoats—it’s about lifting people up.
