I have watched my dream dissolve in my hands twice, now. And rebuilding it a third time has been immensely painful and difficult to the point that, sometimes, I question whether or not I want it anymore and whether or not anyone else even wanted it in the first place.

I've wanted to own my own restaurant for years and it just makes me so angry that I'm being met with so much resistance when all I am saying is "sexual harassment in the workplace is unacceptable" and "work-life balance is important."

Meanwhile, I am busting my ass trying to move into restaurant management so that I can try to create positive and healthy work environments where the staff feels safe, seen and heard, and I just keep getting pushed out of leadership everywhere I go...

That excitement vanished almost immediately when I learned that the owner of this new place is a serial abuser. And now I'm just really fucking mad because every restaurant owner apparently just fucking sucks.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't very nervous simply because of how chaotic and disorganized both places seem to be. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better... but I'm not counting on it.

Both restaurants are trying to get me through training as quickly as possible because of how desperately they need people, but I am having to chase down the managers to get them to actually schedule my training EVEN THOUGH BOTH PLACES HAVE ME WORKING REGULAR SHIFTS LATER THIS WEEK.
