You’re exactly right, personally the disappointment of not seeing any progress is what feels damaging

I think a lot of us fans know more than just the 4/5 players who would improve our RW or RCB position. These positions have needed an upgrade for 2/3 windows now. Obviously the the new recruitment team have only been in for 7/8 weeks now. The disappointment is still there regardless

Do we go back in January? Or wait until the summer? Mate it’s a mad way to go about it

Yeah mate, from what we have heard from the press we’ve got issues/teething problems between Howe and the recruitment department (even though his nephew is in that department). There’s still 9 hours to go 😂

Not entirely, the local journos are saying that Howe wanted Tosin/Guehi or nobody for the RCB position. Which to me is absolutely baffling and hard to believe. The RW position needed an upgrade prior to Howe arriving so that’s not solely his fault

I like Howe/Mitchell a lot but they have to realise the football clubs objectives can’t be realised with Krafth playing at CB and being our 2nd choice RCB. It’s staggering to see how it’s come to this shambolic point in the window, difficult decisions needed to be made weeks ago

I think it’s hugely concerning mate, not just on the transfer front but for Howe’s future. He can’t afford to have a season of no progress or no European football again

There wasn’t many fitness issues at the start of last season, that came into play around Octoberish time. The fact that we are currently starting Krafth at CB right now is worrying. We need a whole lot of luck to be top 6 imo, if we don’t progress the likes of Gordon and Isak don’t sign new deals

We’ve stood still though whilst the teams around us have strengthened. We are in a a worse position than we were 12 months ago which is a concern

George, we’ve massively got away with one today. Only positive I can think of is that we are still collecting points whilst not playing well. Barnes and Trippier changed the game for us when they came on
