U.S. foreign policy of the last eighty years (the years since WWII) has ended, and in its place, naked opportunism (see also Trump's design on Gaza). Europe can no longer rely on the U.S. as an ally - the degree to which it will become an enemy <cough, cough, Greenland> remains to be seen. (3/3)

Whatever else anyone can say about Reagan, there is zero possibility that he would have supported Russia's invasion of a democracy (or that he would blame the invasion on the country that was invaded). (2/3)

(4/4) It's gotta be either 2 or 3 - Johnson’s speakership depends on Trump's support, and Johnson has already witnessed Trump torpedoing bipartisan bills (e.g., the immigration bill earlier this year). There's simply no way Johnson didn't think to talk with Trump in advance of the deal.
