I'm so curious, what were you watching on the laptop?

Palestinian? I recognize my ignorance here but does that mean born in Palestine or Palestinian ancestry?

This is going to completely change as AI evolves. It has already lowered the barrier to entry so much that anyone can create almost anything with a few prompts. The issue is that the apps are almost always redundant or terrible. We are truly witnessing the sloppification of software development

But what they posted isn't misinformation. They never implied it happened recently

Why the fuck does that matter?

My favorite one. It'd be even better with some satisfying sound fx

If anyone could do it, it would be you. I believe in you! I'll beta test

I'm with you but gamers have been conditioned by triple-A titles to expect constant dopamine hits. What's sad is that the problem is in no way a matter of hardware limitations. Being a nerd who's into a niche within a niche sucks sometimes.

Most people don't know how good and efficient models have gotten. I can run llms on my 10 year old pc. To be fair, that is true of much larger open models like DeepSeek. You can access the model via a third party but it'll always be a private entity.

I wouldn't consider myself anti AI but why does it have to be in everything? It's like "Hey do you enjoy using our service? Yes? We'll now you don't have to! Get this fucking thing to do it." Mark my words, there's gonna be a pendulum swing where companies pop up solely as non AI alternatives

Wait can it not be disabled? Or is it the principle of it?

Why not both?

I know the whole "what if the shoe was on the other foot" thing gets old, but if a Dem President made something like this, they would be dragged out into the street. The lefts vibes are big time off Joel. Like yo

These are adorable! Can I ask what software you use to make these? I'd love to learn

The first would be great for a cutscene but in actual gameplay, it would be tedious to watch every single time, so definitely a solid improvement.

That's fair. What a terrible system we live under where doing right by the customer is considered a rare nicety.

"We're not fixing it because it was our software team that bricked the phones" doesn't make sense at all. Of course, it was the OS team's fault which means it's on the company, as a whole, to remedy the situation

I know you didn't read this because it's not a study. There are officials saying it reinforces soft power with zero data backing it up.
August 20, 2025 at 6:35 PM
There's an immediate opportunity cost and your good will argument, while aspirational, is in no way concrete or guaranteed. If you have a study, even one, to back it up, I'd reconsider. Americans getting priority is almost always what's best for the country.

This made me emotional. Please keep doing this 🙏

Wait did you make this? The UI is beautiful. Can you drop a link?
August 12, 2025 at 2:41 PM
Two very good points. Even if models became 10x cheaper to train, it would still require an expensive cluster and local models aren't on the average person's radar.
