Are We There Yette? - Group Running in Lafayette, CO
@arewethereyette.bsky.social
We are an all-abilities running and walking group located in Lafayette, COLORADO. We enjoy getting out on the trails, pushing each other to grow, but also share in each other's victories. We don't have pace groups, required mileage, or membership fees.
So given the potential for snow, here is a quick poll:

What do you do for running on snow and ice?

1. Off the shelf option like Yaktrax.

2. Install spikes in my shoes at home.

3. Wut the hell? Are you f-ing crazy?

Also, Sanitas has limited food options, but you can bring in food.

There does look to be a chance of rain / snow on Thursday evening. So make sure to dress appropriately and do bring your personal illumination.

I know pets and children are fine outside, but not sure about inside?

This is kind of a sad occasion as Sanitas will be closing their doors in December. So this is our last run from this location! On the upside there will be some great clearance deals.

Remember that personal illumination is essential. We won't actually see the sun on an AWTY evening run until March!

Last week we discussed some popular culture things with the kids. I don't know about all of the 6-7 stuff ... However, do you know why 6 is afraid of 7? Because 7 - 8 - 9.

Clare Reda who be completing her quest of 50K races in all 50 states on the weekend of November 22nd! If you have not met Clare, you really need to have a chat with her. Worth mentioning that Dennis Reda has also participated in every race. Maybe not 50K in all of them, but still.

Well-behaved dogs and children are welcome. With the switch back to standard time, it will be dark! So, personal illumination is essential. The route map is attached.

Any fun races coming up? I want to call out my truly inspiring hero,

Who: Everyone is welcome! Walkers, runners, or those who just want to socialize.

The food truck this week is Rev Mex. They are scheduled until 7pm, but I will double check to see if they can stay open a bit later.

We can either hang at Cellar West and enjoy their Mexican food truck or end at Liquid Mechanics. Everyone is welcome to go cut the course short and skip Sanitas for a shorter route or whatever you decide. In true Yette fashion, it's choose your own adventure.

Also, a huge shout-out to Westbound & Down Mill - Lafayette for staying open late for us and being awesome overall.
