Are We There Yet?
@arewethere.bsky.social
I'm a married Navy vet into RV camping, books, movies and classic Sci Fi. We are trying to enjoy life during trying times.
This is my escape from toxicity and politics.
My "Basecamp" is the Northern Neck of Virginia.
People tend to live there until retirement then escape south. I grew up not too far away from there. The summer's are pretty nice, snow skiing can be great and it is really pretty most times of the year.

Living around the Chesapeake 3 miles for Maryland, I practically put Old Bay in my coffee, so I wholeheartedly approve, Haha.

In this case, it is par for the course.

Old Bay? Bold choice.

You ought to see what happened in Ohio today. Wind was so bad it emptied out much of the western shore of Lake Erie and now Buffalo NY is getting pummeled, expecting 20 inches of lake effect snow.

These types of tunnels have been complete failures. Ask Las Vegas about theirs.

As the National Park Service says...

Was he really pretending? Honestly, this sounds like just the type of guy Trump would hire.

And his prey still ran through the tunnel.

Why don't I need a name to know who you are discussing?
November 24, 2025 at 3:04 PM
I don't think I've ever been there when it is that quiet.

When that happens, you need to have unity with the opposition. Heading off in your own direction b can wait until the danger has passed. It is like unity in WWII.

Alan "Underwear" Dershowitz.
Hey Alan, How was that massage you got at Epstein's house? You know, Epstein, the guy who called the massages "Rub and Tugs."
The massage you say wasn't sex because it was from an underaged prostitute.
November 23, 2025 at 1:15 PM
You missed one.
Many people: Guys I made up to proved my argument.
November 23, 2025 at 1:10 PM
Trump has many "Many" people living in his head, doesn't he? Not a single legal scholar is going to call that sedition.
Political pundits on TV are not "scholars."

November 20, 2025 at 11:21 PM
I know that look. It's the, "Will you give me snacks?" look.
November 20, 2025 at 11:18 PM
That is when you walk back to your car. Haha!

It's one of the few times he ever did that straight to a person's face. That is why it is hitting harder.

It was from the Mike Myers movie, "So I Married an Axe Murderer. " It was his father's conspiracy theory.

Mike revisited it in a terrible miniseries he did a few years ago.

Sadly, Sun Tzu never said it. And it doesn't fit what he was talking about in The Art of War. He was talking about wise leadership, not necessarily good or evil.

That being said, I still love the sentiment.

It wasn't the Pentaverate?
The Queen: The ruler of the world.
The Vatican: The governing body of the Catholic Church.
The Gettys: A wealthy family known for their oil business.
The Rothschilds: A prominent banking family.
Colonel Sanders:

That title is VERY interesting. I do love Hill's novels.

Who has seen Death Race 2000 (1975)?
The rebels who were fighting to end the race were labeled as the "French Airforce."
The "treacherous French" were blamed for everything wrong with our lives, no matter how preposterous the conspiracy sounded, including "poisoning our water supply."

Back when USA, SyFy and a few others actually made shows. And quirky was the rule, making the shows extremely enjoyable. I mean when Monk, Eureka, Chuck, Warehouse 13 and Burn Notice are all on in the same years, that is a good time for TV.
