Training dogs to work with livestock, and livestock to work with us, is what makes my life worth living. Interpreter and teacher to guide conversations between three distinctly different species, see their relationship develop into a mutually respectful cooperation.

April rain is not the best weather for newborns... a nice warm meal and one night in the warmth of the house (watched over by worries collies)will do wonders for little cold nr 10.

Started the project of getting the dogs used to pulling on a harness and staying focused on walking forward. Maybe, just maybe, I can get back on a bike and take them bikejoring when the ice is gone

I need dogs for work, so most of them are bought from (responsible!) breeders to be fit for their job. I take in "failed" ones too, that others have given up on. Give them a proper restart, education for the job and find them a good forever home doing what they love: work with livestock.

Remember to take care of yourself and take breaks from all the s*it that is going on in the world. Burnout isn't helping anyone.

I'm a nerd when it comes to animal handling and cross species communication. I've spent years working with sheep, cattle and border collies and take pride in how my dogs work with very low stress for the livestock. We do some trialling too, but it's the everyday work that is our happy place.

I love winter, but we all miss open fields, grazing sheep and lots of work for the dogs...
