Given how cost is often a barrier for designers, programs such as #KnuthBigelowIncubator that provide access to tools and resources to students across the world for free are so essential if we are really to work towards design justice.

In addition to full scholarships, #KnuthBigelowIncubator provided all students with a yearlong membership to Letterform Archive, one-year Adobe Creative Cloud licenses, and a one-year Glyphs license.

As part of the #KnuthBigelowIncubator Southeast Asian scripts cohort, I learned to design a typeface for my Indigenous heritage language, Mon. Over five weeks, I joined 23 fellow students from across the world for twice-weekly sessions— fully funded via scholarships!

It's been really busy but I am so grateful to be able to do research in service of social movements. The work continues.

And also doing my final presentation for the Knuth–Bigelow Type Design Incubator (will be showing initial progress on my Mon language typeface) next week, while at the Inter-Asia Cultural Studies Conference!
