First knitting project was a success and also just easy enough that my brain said to jump to something probably a little out of my depth.

Thing #2 is gonna be a fish patterned scarf. It’ll be a big fair isle tube bc turning swapped colors for double knitting is confusing.
A hand-knit hat made with green tweed yarn. It’s stockinette stitch with a 1x1 rib brim edged with a blanket stitch in orange yarn. It’s not the most clear but there’s a simple X shaped decrease for the crown. Vertical fish scarf pattern in grey and cream. There are wave-like swirls at the bottom and top. There are a bunch of random purl markers but I am just using those to denote the start of the round and the area that’ll be repeated for the body. It’ll all be knit.

Had the bright idea with two weeks till Halloween to crochet my costume. Said costume being Thom’s gleeman’s cloak from Wheel of Time.

My hands are going to be dead come the party the costume’s for 😅

All cooled! I winged it so the texture’s a bit off but they taste great. Plus I found halloween liners in my pantry.
20 apple walnut baked oat cups in halloween themed liners. They aren’t the prettiest of things. Pretend you can smell the apple and cloves through the screen.

I’m being distracted from the book I’m reading… by the font it’s printed in.

The capital H is just so wide looking. After some digging, I think it’s Adobe Jenson Pro.

Why am I so focused on this letter and not the content of the book? Wish I knew. Book’s good so far though; Vampires of El Norte

It seems like my search for gender studies/feminist theory written by women (cis or trans) that doesn’t frame masculinity and/or men as inherently toxic continues.

What manhood is and what misogynistic structures want to portray manhood as & encourage it to be are not the same thing.

I usually get home around 9 after my night shifts so that means if I’m lucky, I might be able to finish tomorrow’s AEW ep before midnight.

Fingers crossed considering I have to be up at 6:30 on Thursday. But there’s 0 shot of me not catching the show, I mean look at that card.

I didn’t remember placing this hold, but A Ballad for Slayers & Monsters came in. Sadly my copy has a bookstrap covering it (ILL), cause damn, what a cover!

Evidently the colors are somewhat muted when compared to how they appear on LCD displays as seen below.

I do wish it could achieve darker blacks, but the differences haven’t affected my enjoyment of this comic, so I got no qualms continuing to use my Kobo for graphic e-materials.

Winter's Orbit by Everina Maxwell has so many iterations of the same book cover. Not necessarily a complaint, they all look good, but I just have to wonder why? They all use the same art in slightly different ways and tweak the text a bit but follow the exact same vein.
