They funnel it all into UA Foundation so everyone applies for everything. WSU does the same thing, it all goes into one basket. If that makes sense. There isn’t a way to really stand out. Then the rest are data mining. The independent ones like UWA are rare.

I’m convinced scholarships don’t really exist. Not like they did when I was in college that’s for damn sure.

I feel so much better! You’ve been with me for a bit you know I had torn ankle tendons, put off surgery for 2 yrs and the stress of losing my mother…I gained weight rapidly. My health has done a complete 180 this year. Gunther and I are totally crazy together. I adopted him when I was broken.

I’ll have to read about that. I’m doing one of those DEXA scan things soon. I’m totally geeking out with numbers on glucose and heart rate minutes per week.

There’s such a high downstream cost to all of this. None of this is right. There’s probably no legal recourse for wrongfully detained people either.

The other impact I’ve been thinking about here, besides the absolute horror, is cost to replace windows, human cost if you’re imprisoned/detained for weeks on end and then they just don’t charge you? It’s all wrong. Where is our 4th Amendment? Lose your job in this economy bcuz some ICE agent whim?

Absolutely this book. Was assigned reading in my chemistry class at UAF and I still thank Dr Duffy for that.
