Great writeup Sam, this has been a concern of mine. I'd heard that the more significant risks are when heating or cooling plastic so I transfer foods to glass containers for microwave use, is this accurate or just unnecessary extra effort?

When I have money, grappling martial arts are the key for me. Half the dudes there are build like gorillas (but nearly all are incredibly nice people) and you don't realize how much cardio you've gotten until you you're wheezing.

Otherwise ellipticals are better than running, but still rough

I have both xorg and Wayland depending on usage. Have had plenty of graphics issues that have required me to log out and switch to an X11 session, the most recent being last week

Came for the discworld content, stayed for the social commentary and funny anecdotes... although the further discworld content has been welcome

Samba was one of my first raspberry pi projects ages ago, I might have to see if there's a way for it to handle encrypted drives. Useful as a network share but I don't like leaving clear data around, even at home

Hadn't heard of him before today, looked into him a bit, blocking his account and adding his name to the mutelist so I doubt I'll hear about him again 👽

I'll start with those, saw that EOT Project grabs a bunch of sites already so I'll crosscheck, ask around

Might be worthwhile to compile a list of sites worth saving. Came here from reddit, I have a few dozen terabytes of space, if people recommend other potentially vulnerable and critical sites I can see about scraping and making them available by torrent
