On the subject, the 1995 final feels like the closest the UK has ever gotten to the Sanremo model - genuinely diverse field picked by a music industry professional that produced actual chart hits (and not just the winner!). Just a shame that it was *that* music industry person :(

It feels very odd watching from the sidelines - 2020 aside, I think this is the first year in over a decade where I don't get to vote on anything (no locals in 2017, but then the general was a month later anyway). Will be interesting to watch, possibly for the wrong reasons
