I could be wrong on this, but with SCOTUS expanding gun rights and many Dems fearing an authoritarian Trump government ~ logical conclusion is that Dems will start buying more guns for “protection”.

Idk, with childcare costs soaring and mortgages at all time highs, it’s hard to follow the same lifestyle that Boomers had. I think it’s good that Gen Z is aiming for higher salaries, it shows drive and gives us higher bargaining power. We would need ever higher income to retire comfortably as well

Haha sad, but true! I’m not too sure though to say that a women can’t become president, Harris remains broadly popular, she lost it was because of the Biden admin (inflation). The election was a toss up no matter the nominee. But I agree that Dem primary voters may shy away from a woman in 2028.

They need to experience his presidency, his policies need to wake them up, cause they don’t believe he will actually follow throw with his agenda. Right now all we can do is wait.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the nominee won’t be any of those people, good chance Kamala just runs again or someone completely new comes in. AOC doesn’t seem interested in 2028.

Good thread and I agree, going into 2026 Dems are in a good position to with the house back. 2024’s highlight is that highly engaged voters backed Harris ~ +5%, if tariffs and mass deportations have their economic effect, come 2026 they will back in a strong position.

That’s funny, I wonder if you would say that about Gen X or Millennials. Gen Z is the most educated generation in the US, so we know how much companies really screw over employees. We also know that wages have stagnated for working class people for 40 years and we don’t want to continue that cycle.
