The article you allude to covers SSB to quite an extent 😛

Every time I think: now I kinda have a working ATproto app, this happens😅. Wish, everyone would use Nostr😈.

I know that the whitenoise people are working towards this via MLS on nostr, the keychat team is approaching it from a NIP-44 giftwraps angle. In my thought experiments i myself came up with an encryption scheme for a "circles" type implementation but its hard work and im lazy.

Thats a completely optional add on, you dont need to have it to use nostr, infact i know some people who don't add it on principle, but it is just fun sending money around on the internet.

There's web of trust moderation. Or even just selected topic moderators from a list like reddit does, but it can be made more decentralized

Thats kind of almost true for existing services too since you dont really know if they really deleted stuff.

Also practically speaking most nostr relays do honor deletion events.

It feels like everything links back to this notorious person

Lol, I am a Dev on nostr and I love the tech, and I do not disagree with this at all, I think more normal people should move there and make it less of a monoculture.
November 30, 2025 at 1:09 PM
I think people are working on it, it would be very cool indeed.

They is no "main" nostr site, someone owns the nostr.com domain and has put up their own stuff.. you can just try primal, that works for most people.

Sure lmk your npub and ill give you a follow
November 30, 2025 at 1:05 PM
There is no blockchain.. just thought id clear that up.. also its totally fine if you dont care about it, everyone has a lot going on in there life to be caring about yet another protocol, but its a really cool piece of tech if you're ever interested.
November 30, 2025 at 1:03 PM
Lmk if it worked or if you need any help, I really wish more people understand the protocol!
November 29, 2025 at 12:30 PM
Also nostur and Apple shouldn't be read only are you sure you're signing in with your nsec and not your npub? Usually npub logins are read only
November 29, 2025 at 4:22 AM
Ahh are you seeing a blank screen with "refresh" button? Thats probably because you're not following anyone, on nostr your feed is only populated by people you follow, but you can also follow hashtags to discover people..

I use amethyst on my grapheneOS and it works for me, what errors are you getting?
November 29, 2025 at 1:38 AM
Not sure why this would be happening, try some other client? You should be able to updste your profile if youve logged in with your nsec

If you have your key you can just paste it into these apps. Bunker is for when you want to keep your keys on a secured device and dont want apps to handle it at all. For someone just starting out, just keep your key(nsec1..) safe. That key is your account

If you're lookinng for twitter/bluesky type experience you can checkout.

Negentropy is an existing protocol that is practically used for relay syncing, it isnt mandated by the protocol however

There is Ava on cybersecurity whom I really like, and a few Devs I follow who are cool, they are very different from bluesky Devs, less social justice, more libertarian, but im okay with ignoring things I dont like, to be able to learn things I can share in common with them, like nerdy tech stuff..
