3/5 - But the way that some of these corporations have feebly taken a knee to their Orange Overlord and done a 180 on working towards a more diverse, equal and inclusive work environment is an insult to all Americans. 🇺🇸

3/3 - Over the years, RPMI’s business grew and Madison was able to hire hundreds of African-American architects and engineers.

Madison served as the Associate Architect for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside Principle Architect, I.M. Pei.

2/3 - On July 17, 1954, Madison established the Robert P. Madison International architectural firm in Cleveland, Ohio. This was the first black-owned architectural firm in the Midwestern United States.

Among their many notable projects are Cleveland's Rocket Mortgage Arena.

Norma Merrick Sklarek
Norma Merrick Sklarek was an American architect. Sklarek was the first African American woman to become a licensed architect in the states of New York and California, as well as the first Black woman to become a member of the American Institute of Architecture.

Beverly Lorraine Greene
According to architectural editor Dreck Spurlock Wilson, she was "The first African-American female licensed as an architect in the United States”, registering as an architect in Illinois in 1942. Her most famous contribution is the iconic UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
