Sometimes, I get ID requests that say "please don't tell me this is a termite/bedbug/lominsan roach (those kind infest)".
Many times it ain't what they think it is, cause most people don't know hemiptera from halyomorpha, and then I get to give them good news.

how the hells do you know enough about bugs to know what a level two larvae is but you don't know that bedbugs, which are exremely fuckin common, are fuckin arthropods and don't have larvae???

I'm plenty happy. content and such. but I very rarely feel warm where my brother ain't involved.
when people ask me for IDs an ask "Who's this in this pic?" rather than a more technical "what bug is this" it makes me feel warm. bugs can be who's instead'a what's I think.

I was fightin my brother on is shrimps bugs. I was gonna start tellin people they're technically scorpions cause I thought they had 8 legs and they got claws.
they got ten legs. which goes to show I ain't know shit about ocean creatures, as fond of em as I am.
